Meanwhile on this side of the pond, I’m going to go and start my Christmas shopping soon. I’ve no idea what I’m going to get for most people, but I really thought I should make a start. I’m also off to the library later to get some books so that I can pretend to myself that I’ve actually done some work. Talk about living on the edge.

Yesterday Newt and I went to the photographer’s again to finally sort out our album – wedding albums are unbelievably expensive! I’m pleased with the photos we’ve chosen, and it looks like we’re going to end up with a few for the wall as well. I’ve still got a couple of gifts to pick up from Debenhams, and thank you cards to post – and then I think I’m finally done with the whole wedding thing!!! It’s been fun, but I’m glad it’s coming to an end now.

I’ve finished my block at Uni, and now I really need to concentrate on the essay and exam in January, and my dissertataion. Which, in reality probably means I’ll be around on the internet a lot more, and procrastinating a lot!

I’m now much closer to finding a topic and title for my dissertation! After a lot of discussion, I’m pretty much decided on:
Maternal Obesity and Postnatal Wound Care. I did have ideas that I liked better – like obesity and the antenatal period, but it’s all been done quite recently, so I wouldn’t have anything new to say.

The only problem with wound care is that I really don’t know a lot about it, so I have a feeling I may be on a very steep learning curve! Also, a lot of the research that I’ve found so far doesn’t relate to pregnancy, and there seems to be nothing at all on perineal wounds.

But despite all that, it seems like there is quite a lot of scope in this project, and it’s very topical, so I’m hoping it’ll be interesting, and that my lecturers will like it!

I’ve finally got round to uploading the rest of the wedding photos – well, actually Newt has, because I’ve run out of space, so they’re now sitting on his webspace somewhere!

Dave’s photos are up there – very kindly taken by Karoline’s husband – and they’re utterly and completely fabulous! Even if there are a lot with me with a drink in each hand! We’ve also put up the ones from the table cameras, you can see them increasing in silliness as the night progresses.
