I’m now fully qualified!
I got my results while I was on holiday (more about that later). I got a first in my dissertation that I was so worried about – leading Mr Newt to say “I told you so” in an annoying manner for about 3 days – and got a First overall. To say I’m delighted is an understatement. I’m really relieved and happy, the last three years has been well worth it.
I start my new job as a “Midwife”, not a “Student Midwife”, but a proper, fully qualified Midwife next week. I’m excited, but also really nervous – and I don’t like the uniform!
As I write this I’m having a cup of coffee out of a mug some friends bought me after I looked after their cats when they were on holiday. On one side it says “Ultra Sound Midwife” and on the other it says “Proud to be a 100% qualified, caring, encouraging, one more push, reassuring Midwife”. I was too superstitious to use it before I got my results – but now, I can drink from it with impunity!
