But as predicted, the Sims 2 kind of took over for a while. I love it. Love it, love it, love it. Lots of the niggles from the first edition (IMHO) have been ironed out, obviously graphics are better, and there are a few new elements of gameplay that make it a bit more satisfying. One gripe – I haven’t managed to find any help files, and while it’s pretty intuitive, I keep finding new stuff and thinking “I wish I’d known that an hour ago!”.

So I’ve been ‘Simming’, working and trying to sort out moving stuff. Sending letters to solicitors, buyers, cable people and so on. I’ve sorted insurance, ntl (I think), water and a few other bits, but I still have a really long list of other people to contact. And still sooooooo much packing to do.

I am finally getting excited about the move though. On Monday we’ll be in the new house with cats. OK, so we won’t have all our stuff, and there’ll be boxes everywhere, but we’ll be there, and I have 10 days off. Yay!!!!! Then when I go back to work I’m on the ward rather than delivery suite, which worries me a bit, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
