My new blog

February 22nd, 2007

Newt has been promising to sort out my website for about 2 years, and we’ve finally done it. He’s made me a shiny new WordPress blog – so hopefully I won’t spend half my life sorting out spam. So far I really like it. Easier to use than Moveable Type, and so far, it seems easier to customise. I’m still finding my way around, so there will probably be a few changes in the first few weeks. I do like my new theme though, and the fact that there’s inbuilt Blogrolling.

But, as I haven’t blogged for a while, what’s new?
Not a lot really. I’m 28 weeks now, I’ve had my ‘big scan’ and all was well. Baby’s moving around loads, and Mr Newt has felt some kicks as well – although not all that many, because he’s too impatient. We’re in the process of sorting out the nursery. Currently stripping 30 years of painted woodchip off the walls and ceiling. We’ve already removed the fitted cupboards, and consequently have two holes in the ceiling (secretly I’m quite pleased about this, because it means I have a genuine reason to get the ceiling skimmed, and get rid of the horrid woodchip). Next jobs will be to get an electrician, plasterer, joiner and carpet fitter in – in that order – before the furniture arrives. We also have to paint it, but I’m sure we can manage that ourselves – famous last words.

Other than that, I’m tired and grumpy, and counting down the days until I can finish work – 6 weeks, or 19 shifts and counting.
