Still busy

November 11th, 2008

I’m still busy at work.  In fact, I’ve just dropped my hours so that I can just do two shifts a week.  I currently do three shifts, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but in some ways it always feels like I’m coming or going to work.  So from the end of November, I’ll only be going twice a week, so that means more time with Evie and more time to just get stuff done.  I was actually considering quitting altogether, because I had a run of bad shifts, but then I realised I was probably a bit hormonal, and that’s not the best time to make life changing decisions!  So I’m reducing my hours, and hopefully that will be a lot, lot better.

I’ve just found a knitting group that I can go to as well, thanks to the wonders of Ravelry.  I went last week, and I’m off there again this week.  Because there’s so much chatting going on, I need a nice easy project for when I go there, so I was working on a Noro jumper for Evie that’s mainly garter stitch.  But I seem to have mislaid the remaining 3-4 balls that I need, and I have a horrible feeling that I may have left them in the holiday cottage we stayed in in September.  I suppose it’s not the end of the world, if I can’t find them I can always get more, but I don’t stand a chance of getting the same dye lot (partly because I bought it ages ago, and partly because I don’t have a ball band, so I don’t even know what the dye lot was!).  I’ll just have to hope that it’s not massively different – and with Noro being all stripy anyway, I’m sure it won’t show too much.
