Almost Christmas

I can’t believe how quickly time passes.  We still haven’t got gallery sorted properly on the computer, so I can’t post photos properly, which is very annoying.  But anyway.

We’ve been on a family holiday to Center Parcs, and that was fantastic.  We all had a great time, apart from Evie getting a sickness bug on the first night.  We did loads of swimming, Newt and I went to the spa (which was amazing!), we ate out loads, Evie played in all the toddler play areas, Evie and I went to ‘Mammal Magic’ and got to stroke a polecat, and a sugar glider and lots of other animals.  We also took her on a  horsedrawn carriage ride to see Father Christmas.  She wasn’t impressed with the carriage ride (but she did like stroking the horse), and she was terrified of Father Christmas, so we now have a large photo of me with Father Christmas!

We’re planning a family Christmas, but because I’m working on Christmas Day, we’re going to be celebrating on Boxing Day instead.  Hopefully we’ll get the gallery sorted so I can share Christmas photos.

At work, I’ve cut my hours, so I’m now only doing 15 hours, or two short shifts a week.  I think this will make a big difference and hopefully I’ll be a lot happier about it.  I’ve just finished the ‘Supporting Learning in Practice’ course (what a nightmare that was!), and I’m now just hoping that I’ve done enough to pass, because I really can’t face resubmitting any of it.
