Mother’s Day

March 21st, 2009

OK, so Mother’s Day isn’t until tomorrow, but we went out for a meal today instead because it will be insanely busy tomorrow.  We had a nice meal out, but it was still rather busier than when we normally go on a weekday, but never mind.

I wasn’t going to get a present, but then at knitting group, the shop owner had a pair of KnitPro Symfonie needles, and they looked lovely – so I splashed out and bought myself a pair, and they arrived today -  I’ve only knitted a couple of rows with them but so far I really like them!

Had my second quilting class at The Bubble Patch this week.  We did foundation piecing, which seems to be where the quilting pattern is printed on paper, and you stitch the fabric to the paper.  Very enjoyable, but hard work!  And I have homework!  Here’s the resulting Log Cabin design that I managed to produce.
